Today marks the centenary of the start of World War One

While I get on with day to day life as normal, I'm taking a few moments throughout the day to try and process the magnitude of the sacrifices that were made by so many.

Hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of soldiers, as well as ordinary people, started to go through the closest thing to hell 100 years ago today and too many of those paid the ultimate price.

Today, of all days, I want to show gratitude and appreciation for what they did by paying my respects and continuing to promote what I believe to be good in the world.

The events of World War One have left a stain on the fabric of history but the stain will be a darker red should we take all those lost lives for granted.

Lest we forget.
