JARRAD JOHNSON
Broadcaster & Journalist, Teacher
ABOUT
ME
I became a journalist to hold power to account and inform people about the world they live in. In 2017, I graduated with a first-class honours degree in journalism from the University of Lincoln, achieved the NCTJ Diploma, and a documentary I made was 'highly commended' for a national journalism award.
It was during my studies that my hard-work and love of journalism showed as I was appointed editor of the university's independent student newspaper as well as presenting the breakfast show slot on local radio.
My work has taken me to the likes of: BBC Live Political Programmes, The Sunday Times, ITV's Good Morning Britain, LBC/Global, The Times/The Sun, BBC local radio, Gloucestershire Live, Lincolnshire Echo, Newark Advertiser, Radio Newark, Lincolnshire Reporter.
In 2018 I changed career paths and am now a teacher of Geography due to my passion for education and issues surrounding climate change.
